Getting started is simple

First diagnostic assessment ($225). Your first full session, where I get to know you and what brought you here.
Ongoing sessions ($200). We meet by secure video, from wherever you feel comfortable in Texas or Illinois. You need to be in Texas or Illinois during each session.
Hi, I’m Tyra
I’m Tyra Steverson, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I founded 290 Therapy in 2021.
I started 290 Therapy because I kept meeting women who were holding everything and being asked, quietly, to hold a little more. I wanted a place where a Black woman could start at the middle of the conversation instead of the beginning.

Insurance accepted directly: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, UnitedHealthcare / United Behavioral Health, Aetna, and Health Alliance. More plans are available through Headway.
