Insurance and Rates
Using your insurance for online therapy in Texas and Illinois.
I accept several major insurance plans, either directly or through Headway, and I also offer self-pay sessions. It's okay to ask about money. That question should never be the thing that keeps you from getting support.

Headway is a company that credentials me with these plans and handles the insurance billing, so you can use your coverage to see me. You're still working with me, in my own practice. Headway doesn't employ me, and it doesn't set your cost. Your plan does. You start the same way as everyone else, with a free 15-minute consultation.
We don't accept Original Medicare. If you have Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Medicare Advantage, you may be able to see us through Headway.
Plans by State
We accept these plans for clients in Texas and Illinois. Coverage can vary by state and plan, so send us your plan name and we'll confirm.
We don't accept Medicaid at this time.
You need to be physically located in Texas or Illinois at the time of each session. Read more about online therapy in Forney, TX and online therapy in Bloomington, IL.
How to Check Your Coverage
Call the member services number on your insurance card.
Ask whether outpatient mental health therapy by video (telehealth) with a licensed counselor is covered.
Ask about your deductible, your copay or coinsurance, and whether you need a referral.
Share your plan name when you request your consultation, and we'll confirm what we can.
If you use insurance, what you pay depends on your plan.
Self-Pay Rates
15-minute consultation: free
First diagnostic assessment: $225
Sessions after that: $200
We accept all major payment methods.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you don't have insurance or aren't using it, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. You'll get it in writing before your first session, and you can ask for one at any time. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059. Read our Good Faith Estimate notice.
Out-of-Network Benefits and Superbills
If your plan isn't listed, you can pay the self-pay rate and ask for a superbill that you can send to your insurance company yourself. I can't promise your plan will pay you back. Whether it does, and how much, depends on your plan's out-of-network benefits, so check with your plan before you start.
Cancellations
Late cancellations and missed sessions with less than 24 hours' notice are charged a fee, as outlined in your client agreement. The same policy applies to everyone. Insurance doesn't pay this fee, so it isn't billed to your insurance.
Is Online Therapy Covered by Insurance?
Many plans cover therapy by video, but it depends on your plan, so use the steps above to check. All 290 Therapy sessions are online by secure video, and you need to be physically located in Texas or Illinois at the time of each session.
